Kershaw's new Out the Front design has a blade that slides out the front of the handle into a locked secure position. The belt holster doubles as the OTF deployment knob to engage or disengage the locking function. Pull the knife out of the case and the blade automatically deploys into the secure locked position. To close the knife lock it back into the case. The blade is Sandvik 13C26 stainless steel for strength and superior edge retention, while the Tungsten DLC coating enhances performance and looks good doing it. The Ripcord's handle is lightweight anodized aluminum with Trac-Tec inserts for a secure grip.
