The result is a true ambidextrous release auto knife (reversible clip) with a lock that is ten times plus stronger than any other plunge or liner lock automatic on the market. Handle construction also slightly different than the other Benchmade autos with blackti coated steel liners for extra strength under the patterned for grip black anodized scales. And finally a newly devised safety system debuts on this model set on the spine of the knife that clicks on or off smoothly with the thumb. You can actually see the safety engage into position and fully interrupt the release travel of the Axis lock so you know there's no way the knife can be accidentally opened or closed.
