These Bear MGC USA balisongs have extra thick blades (.14") stardust silver coated alloy handles are an excellent choice for your collection - the blade is genuine Damascus steel cut from Damascus that was crafted the tradition way with a mixture of many metals in a 20 ton hydraulic anvil press. The blades are then laser cut from the resulting produced bar stocks, ground to spec and then acid bathed to bring out the pattern underneath. What you actually see on this knife's blade is the many different metals used to make it and they burn away to produce different carbon deposits. In sum, it's rolled steel certainly good enough to "kill bill" and then some because it's extra strong.
