Super slim, super fast and hair shaving sharp! The breakout auto from Kershaw Knives really does accomplish a few things you can't find elsewhere in the auto knife catalog of past and present. First it's super slim - slimmer than anything else made to date at 1/3" not including the pocket. OK William Henry knives are technically about that - but they're $500 and about half the size in length so it doesn't count! And Blackie Collins AKA Meyerco have something similar going but they built a few of them, they're $50 more and really not anywhere as nice or as sharp as these new ones from Kershaw. Plus these have a really nice safety slider on the black of the handle so you can drop it right into the pocket or rucksack without fear of accidental opening. Blade speed is pretty impressive too - these are nice and fast with a nice lock up that you can of course double safe by putting the safety back on. The button takes a little getting used to because it's not the usual flat one found on most autos - it's round and sticks up so you can find it easy but you have to put some good pressure on it to open the knife and that's a good thing because it means you're not going to pop it by accident ever. Delivered as shown with plain edge black finish blade. |
